True, this is not about cars, the supply of sets for assembling cars at Russian factories. According to Gazeta.Ru with reference to a certain “informed source”, the South Korean company will direct assembly components through China and Kazakhstan. Thus, the connection between the supplier – the Hyundai itself – and the final destination in Russia will be difficult to trace, experts say.

Machine complexes for the production of cars will be supplied through a subsidiary of Hyundai in China, the source says. From there they will go to the Kazakhstan EAEU, where the customs clearance is simplified, and after that to Russia.

Thus, Hyundai will kill two birds with one stone: expand the functionality of its not too successful Chinese unit and will establish contact with the Russian Federation bypassing sanctions.

In 2025, against the backdrop of warming relations between Russia and the United States, rumors arose that Hyundai was looking for ways to resume activities in the Russian market. It was reported that the Koreans want to redeem their ex-worship near St. Petersburg from AGR, while there is such an opportunity. Soon it will disappear: the option for a return ransom is valid only until the end of 2025.

In Kazakhstan, the inexpensive Hyundai Porter “hot” Hyundai Ioniq 6 n began to release again: the first images and the date of the premiere in Russia very much fell into the new Kia and Hyundai under the Solaris brand

At the same time, Hyundai continued to submit numerous applications for the registration of trademarks. However, the press service of the auto giant denied information about the return, and then said that they would no longer comment on such messages.

Hyundai produced cars in Russia until 2022. Now the Solaris brand is produced at the St. Petersburg enterprise – these are the same Hyundai and Kia, sold as Solaris HC, HS, KRS and KRX. And under other names they are in demand: in April, the brand entered the top 10 market for the second time in a row, setting a sales record-2298 cars per month.
