The model, which will be the first car on the new modular GWM One platform, will combine impressive size, high performance and advanced technology.
According to official images, the crossover, more than 5.3 meters long, will receive proprietary optics with two thin LED strips and an illuminated logo between them. Key features include traditional door handles (as opposed to the hidden ones popular with competitors), a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor and a massive light bar in the rear.
The model will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid unit (PHEV), combining a 2-liter turbo engine with two electric motors. Acceleration to 100 km/h is 4.4 seconds. The main innovation will be a purely electric range of up to 400 km on the CLTC cycle. The battery supports 6C ultra-fast charging technology, allowing you to recharge the battery for 200 km in just 5 minutes.
According to CarNewsChina, the company has already begun preparations for the model to enter the market. It is expected that the Wey V9X will soon receive approval from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT), after which the final specifications will become known. Serial production is scheduled for March 2026, and the world premiere will likely take place at the Beijing Auto Show at the end of April.
With the introduction of the V9X, the Wey brand will strengthen its position in the competitive large premium SUV market by focusing on advanced hybrid technology and modularity.
Earlier in Russia, sales of cheap electric vehicles Eonyx Profi began.
