The head of the working group “Protection of the Rights of Motorists” of the All-Russian Popular Front, Pyotr Shkumatov, shared an unfavorable forecast with PostNews. According to the expert, the rise in prices for gasoline and diesel will occur gradually throughout the next year.

Fuel prices are one of the basic economic parameters in Russia, since they are included in the cost of goods and services. Despite this, Shkumatov believes that Russians will not feel major changes in the country’s pricing policy, since the rise in fuel prices will affect the overall inflation rate by no more than one percent.

In Russia, experts were banned from speaking about gasoline prices. In Russia, another increase in fuel prices is predicted. BMW began filling diesel engines with vegetable oil in new cars.

First of all, taxi drivers will feel the increase in prices for gasoline and diesel, since about 15 percent of their total expenses depend on the cost of fuel.

At the end of December, the FAS prohibited experts from expressing opinions on fuel prices. Representatives of the department believe that such comments violate the Competition Law.
