In Australia, an unusual Lada Niva Swagman was put up for sale

The Australians had a chance to buy Lada SUV, released in the mid-90s of the last century, but not simple, but in a sports body kit and with a bright red body. Once this machine was used for advertising purposes to promote LADA in the Australian market, after which the show car was tuned, and now they are sold for a modest 8.5 thousand Australian dollars (a little more than half a million rubles at the rate of today).

For the first time, the Australians met the Niva in the early 80s of the last century. In the local market, the model was sold in several performance with a starting price of 15.9 thousand Australian dollars. So, the Bushman option with alloy 15-inch discs, aluminum footboards and off-road tires cost almost 20 thousand local dollars, Swagman with localized components cost more. The most road in the line was the “sports” version of the Niva with a more powerful engine, for which 32 thousand dollars were asked.

Just one of the Swagman SUVs, the so-called show car, which was used for advertising purposes, is put up for sale. Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes that initially this car was green, and the year of its release was indicated 1996. Subsequently, the SUV was handed over to private hands, and the new owner repainted him. Now the Niva Swagman has an original body kit, 17-inch discs, a spoiler, a leather salon with decorative inserts made of natural wood, there is air conditioning, a radio, a luke on the roof and electric windows.

If Bushman and Swagman were in Australia, then, for example, Niva Trek was sold in Canada, in Germany – Spezial and 5000, in the UK and New Zealand – Cossack, and Ikra in Spain. The same fields that were sold in Italy received the Job prefix, and in Iceland – Sport.
