They will not refuse electric vehicles and other vehicles with a zero level of emissions, but the European Commission will create the conditions necessary for the development of batteries, expanding the charging stations and the actual increase in sales. Whether this will help Volkswagen or the same Stellantis, a big question.

The European Commission has published a long -awaited action plan for the European automobile sector. The document came out slightly abstract, but from it you can find out about the main measures of support for the industry as a whole and stimulating sales of “green” transport in particular. For example, in order to make electric cars more attractive, they want to sell them in leasing at reduced bets. It is also planned to allocate funds for subsidizing sales and the accelerated development of the network of charging stations.

The main emphasis will be placed on corporate parks, since they account for about 60% of the registration of new cars. All benefits for fossil vehicles will be canceled, and a heavy comrade with zero emissions, on the contrary, will be exempt from taxes and fees. In parallel in Europe, they will approve the simplified procedure for registering electric conversions of trucks and consider the possibility of transition to “green” local -made buses.

Another important measure will be the development of batteries. Own supply of supplies will help reduce dependence on imports, perfectly within the boundaries of the European Union, the creation of which will be allocated 1.8 billion euros. To support innovative developments, including in the field of recycling, they will attract private investments. Help at the national and supranational levels is promised not only to local companies, but also to foreign ones, if they are in partnership with European ones.

Also, an autonomous control system has included the automotive industry plan. Software and “iron” for them should be developed in the EU, and some of these developments will become common to everyone, which will save both time and money. The computing platform for such cars, software and auxiliary and solutions will create a newly formed European alliance of connected and autonomous vehicles.

The norms of harmful emissions were not reviewed, but they gave a delay for three years to achieve them. What will happen to the sale of cars with gasoline and diesel engines in 2035 is also incomprehensible. Most likely, it will remain in force, but only in terms of use of fossil fuel. There are chances that the European Commission will accept the arguments of the European People’s Party, which actively promotes its alternative species (synthetic, bio-, hydrogen) along with connected hybrids.

I’m tired, I’m leaving: the cars that are waiting for the resignation
