Ioniq enters the Chinese market with the Venus sedan and Earth SUV concepts, showcasing distinct designs tailored to suit the tastes of local buyers. Carscoops reports this.
All future Ioniq models for China will be named after planets. The first were the concepts “Venus” (an elegant sedan) and “Earth” (an SUV). Hyundai said that over time, the Ioniq lineup will evolve from a simple model range into a broader mobility ecosystem tailored to the needs of local customers.
Venus and Earth, according to Hyundai, will become design “barometers” for future production models. The Venus comes in Shining Gold and is unlike any other Ioniq. Like the Ioniq 5, it received a high seating position and a wide radiator grille.
The interior is also intriguing: many gold accents and a panoramic screen for multimedia and the front passenger – like the Chinese Hyundai Elexio. Time will tell how much this interior will influence production models, but it makes a strong impression.
The Earth SUV looks even more impressive. Reminiscent of recent Kia concepts, it features a bold front end and brutal design in Aurora Shield. The interior features rear doors that open backwards, a central tablet screen and seats with air modules.
