In 2025, traffic police inspectors brought 35,000 violators – drivers and pedestrians – to administrative responsibility. And through the People’s Control system, 23,000 people received fines, another four thousand were rejected due to incorrect registration of applications.
This data was given to journalists by the head of the traffic police department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Radiy Kadikov. Today, the People’s Inspector accepts notifications for 18 categories of traffic violations.
The list of complaints that the traffic police will respond to includes obstructing the movement of pedestrians, running a red light, driving beyond the stop line, driving in the oncoming lane, not wearing a seat belt, and using a telephone.
The list continues with driving in a bus lane, roadside or sidewalk, as well as hitting an obstacle, violating parking rules, plus turning left under a prohibitory sign.
