In the Tambov region, a cloud of fire from the explosion of gasoline tanks was caught on video

The incident occurred at the railway station in the village of Kochetovka. Two gasoline tanks derailed, after which the dangerous cargo exploded. At least one person was injured.

The carriages derailed and the cargo caught fire at 15:34 Moscow time at the Kochetovka-2 station, according to the Russian Railways Telegram channel. Firefighting and recovery trains have been sent to the scene. Due to the explosion and its consequences, eight trains are delayed, and the issue of diverting them is being decided.

According to the Shot Telegram channel, one person was injured as a result of the explosion and fire.

“The train driver, who tried to independently extinguish the fire that started immediately after the explosion, received multiple burns,” his publication notes.

The moment of the explosion of spilled motor fuel was captured on video by eyewitnesses. The footage shows a mushroom-shaped cloud of fire rising above the station. there were people on the pedestrian bridge over the tracks at that time.
