The sharp decline in demand for heavy commercial equipment is strange and unusual, says Alexander Migal, director of the marketing department of KAMAZ PJSC, whose opinion is cited by the Reedus publication. At the same time, Migal gave several reasons why this could happen.
“The first reason: in 2022, the state, in order to avoid a possible shock to the economy, opened the borders and reduced the requirements for certification and market protection that existed at that time,” says Alexander Migal.
Also, the director of the marketing department of KAMAZ PJSC noted that in 2023–2024, the organization purchased 250 thousand vehicles. At the same time, the weighted average state of the Russian market is 70–80 thousand.
Migal named the third factor as the consolidation of transport companies and the growth of corporate fleets of large retailers and e-commerce market players who are ready to arrange leasing at high rates.
Earlier it became known that KamAZ will celebrate its 50th anniversary by releasing a special series of trucks. What distinguishes the new product from standard cars is the exterior wrapping of the cabin, branded head optics and illuminated radiator grille.
