The company’s engineers have developed a unique system of folding seats. To transform a two-seater cargo van into a five-seater passenger van, the driver needs to pull a single lever.
The entire process takes less than a minute and does not require the use of any tools. As a result, the van’s two-seater cargo compartment turns into a full-fledged five-seater salon for transporting a team of workers, and vice versa.
The new product is based on an extended version of the Kia PV5 Cargo electric cargo van. The unique transformation system is installed directly on the factory assembly line in collaboration with third-party partners. Depending on the selected mode, the volume of cargo space varies from 2.4 to 3.7 cubic meters.
For maximum convenience, the floor is equipped with aircraft-grade rails for securing cargo, an anti-slip coating, and a 230-volt outlet for powering power tools.
Technical characteristics: the electric car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 51.5 kWh, which provides a range of up to 283 km. The van’s payload is 625 kg.
Serial production of the Kia PV5 Crew Van starts on April 30, 2026. The manufacturer is keeping information about prices and exact dates for entering the market in different countries secret.
