Mash: the list of taxi cars includes Volga, Tenet and Sollers

According to the Telegram channel, cars of these brands appear on the list of cars approved for taxi service, which the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to the government for approval. A preliminary list of vehicles that will be allowed for taxi transportation was published in 2025. It included Lada, Moskvich, Evolute and Voyah models.

Mash claims that the list of vehicles allowed for purchase in taxis will include, in particular, the Haval Jolion, F7 and F7X crossovers, Tenet cars and the SF1 and SP7 minivans from Sollers. Also, according to him, cars from the revived Volga brand will appear on the list, production of which will start in April 2026.

The primary list of cars that will be allowed to work in a taxi according to the law, which comes into force on March 1, 2026, was published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on October 1, 2025. The list includes more than 20 models of domestic brands, including Lada (Granta, Vesta, Niva), UAZ (Patriot, Hunter), Moskvich, Evolute, Voyah and Sollers.

Market participants and experts then expressed bewilderment at the composition of the list, which did not include all car models produced in Russia with a high degree of localization, and also included cars unsuitable for comfortable transportation of passengers in taxi mode.

The updated list of cars created within the framework of the law on localizing taxis has not yet been published. The Ministry of Industry and Trade promises to publish it after the approval of the relevant resolution of the Russian government. At the same time, in November 2025, the National Taxi Council reported that 66% of taxi companies do not intend to buy new cars in 2026.
