The Belta publication visited a new building for the release of passenger equipment. Now the Minsk automobile plant will be able to produce up to 3,000 buses annually, while in recent years 1,500-1800 units of transport have left the assembly line. Investments in the project amounted to 7.5 billion Russian rubles. In terms of production capacities, MAZ practically equalized with a liasis and nephas.

In the old assembly production, six workshops were in different places, and the bus had to be constantly moved. Now the whole process takes place under one roof. There are three conveyor lines (there was one), so you can simultaneously collect different modifications of buses. Also, MAZ can simultaneously paint six cars: Harmosk buses are stained in one stage, and before the articulated transport simply did not fit into the camera.

As for the welding workshop, it is still manual. The robotic area pays off only with circulations of more than 15 thousand cars per year, and ideally, all the body should be of the same type. In the nomenclature of MAZ, buses are of different sizes, and manual welding allows you to flexibly rebuild the work of the workshop depending on the orders. However, since 2027, they plan to refuse second -generation buses.

In the third generation of MAZ buses, a universal frame is laid: regardless of the type of power (diesel, gas bus or trolley) the body is the same. It is not directly said, but the commissioning of the new plant coincides with the information on the order of the largest batch of Belarusian buses. Russia can purchase 4,000 units of passenger masks.
