The new G 63 Collector’s Edition series was developed by the Indian division of Mercedes-Benz specifically for the Indian market and inspired by local culture. Special series SUVs will receive unique finishing materials, exclusive color schemes and individual upholstery options “reflecting the rich heritage of India”.

There are no details yet, they are promised to be declassified on June 12. In the meantime, it is only known that the Mercedes-Benz G 63 Collector’s Edition will receive a 4.0-liter V8 with a double turbocharging capacity of 585 horsepower. It will be complemented by a 48-volt “soft hybrid” system. The gearbox is nine -speed with double clutch, and the drive is complete. Prices have not yet been announced, however, most likely, the “Gelendvagena” from a limited series will be significantly more expensive than standard ones.

In April, Mercedes-Benz also presented another special series of a cult SUV-a g-class retro version in the spirit of the first Gelik. The novelty, the circulation of which is only 460 copies, was called Stronger than the 1980s (“stronger than in the 1980s”), and its main feature is the first-generation “Gelendvagen” decor. In Europe, orders are already accepting, prices start from 178 thousand euros (about 17 million rubles at the current rate).

And even earlier, in December 2024, he debuted Mercedes-AMG G 63 from the HOF (formerly Hofele) studio. Tuning is dedicated to the anniversary of the victory of Moss Sterling in the 1955 Mille Miglia endurance race, and only ten such SUVs were built.
