The company, 2 months after the premiere of the standard S-Class, presented an image of a more luxurious version, Carscoops reports. The presentation of the new product will take place in a few weeks.
The main difference is the radiator grille. Instead of horizontal slats, as on the standard S-Class, Maybach received vertical elements, which became the trademark of the sub-brand. In addition, a luminous Maybach nameplate appeared on the hood, and the classic three-pointed Mercedes star also acquired backlighting.
Illuminated Maybach emblems are also placed on the rear pillars, and when the doors are opened, brand logos are projected onto the ground.
According to the creators, in the dark it will be almost impossible to confuse this car with a regular S-Class. The headlights remained standard – with star-shaped daytime running lights.
The flagship modification of the S 680 will presumably retain the 6.0-liter V12 with two turbines, developing 603 hp. and 830 Nm of torque. The S 580 is expected to feature a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. Recoil – 530 hp
