Because of this defect, a response campaign has been announced in the United States, which affects 1.1 million copies of Ford Bronco, Edge, Escape, Expedition, Transit, Mach-E, Ranger, Mustang, F-150, F-600, Lincoln Nautilus, Navigator and CorsaI.

At least one incident is known when the butt of the rear view camera led to an accident. At the same time, 30 car owners complained about the non-working camera, and all complaints concerned the Ford F-150 pickups, produced in 2021–2023.

During the internal check, it turned out that the owners of other models may face such a problem, so the National Highway Traffic Safeth Administration (NHTSA) initiated a response campaign – motorists will invite the Ford specialists to be executed for free.

Ford forbade the two owners of Bronco to travel on its all-terrain vehicles Ford recalls two million crossovers due to a dangerous Ford Focus defect.

Last year, Ford had to withdraw two million cars – the campaign was affected only by the Explorer model. It turned out that the SUVs made from 2011 to 2019, during the movement, the external decoration of the front line of the windshield can fly away.

According to NHTSA, only for the first half of last year Ford conducted 37 reviews, covering a total of more than 3.5 million cars. The company spent 2.3 billion dollars on reviews.

In the same 2024, Ford attracted artificial intelligence to quality control. The automaker began to use the Vision system based on the Maximo platform from IBM, which recognizes the most diverse flaws on the conveyor – from the curvature of body panels to the absence of nameplate.
