Recently, a camouflaged prototype was noticed in South Korea, which stirred the interest in the new Pajero generation (aka Montero in a number of markets). The independent artist Theottle shared his vision of the novelty using new photos, as well as designer trends that can be traced in the latest models of the Japanese brand.
As the basis, Theottle took the relevant Nissan Patrol – there is an opinion that Pajero will be built on its base, and added the features of the recently debuted Mitsubishi Destinator. The latter is a three -row crossover on the front -wheel drive platform, which is divided with the “younger” XFORCE. He has nothing to do with the future Pajero, but demonstrates the direction chosen by the designers.

The “real” Mitsubishi Pajero, shot by photoshpions, has an angular body and proportions, which paint it with traditional SUVs. In front of the model, the model has a large grate of the radiator and vertical elements of optics, on the sides it looks like a DST show car, and behind the already mentioned Patrol.
Regarding “technology”, opinions diverge. Some argue that the Pajero base will serve as Patrol/Armada, others – that it will share the platform with Outlander, becoming a crossover with a supporting body. Finally, the others are reading the Pajero relationship with the frame pickup Triton/L200.

If the version with Outlander is a reality, then the model will probably receive a plug-in hybrid installation with a capacity of 306 horsepower.

The unification with Patrol, equipped with a 320-horsepower V6, is called less probable in the media. Triton can share with Pajero a 2.4-liter diesel diesel engine with a capacity of 204 forces, and later an electrified power plant will appear in the gamut.
It is expected that the debut of the new Mitsubishi Pajero will take place until the end of 2025.
