The Germanika automobile dealership in Moscow announced the start of sales of new eighth-generation Volkswagen Golf hatchbacks, which were imported to Russia under a parallel import scheme. The base cost of the car is 4.3 million rubles, while the dealer offers significant discounts when using the trade-in program or applying for a loan.
The new Volkswagen Golf is presented in a single configuration with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 150 horsepower, coupled with a robotic gearbox. Standard equipment includes single-zone climate control, a surround-view system with parking sensors, a light sensor and a keyless engine start system.

According to the dealership, potential buyers can count on a maximum discount of 850,000 rubles when using special financing programs or exchanging an old car using the trade-in system. Some of the received hatchbacks have already been booked by customers.
Earlier it became known that Volkswagen plans to continue production of the eighth generation Golf until 2035. This was announced by the concern’s technical development director Kai Grünitz, noting that the final decision on the timing of production of the model will depend on future regulatory requirements of the European Union.
