A presentation of the new Volkswagen Sagitar S sedan took place in China, which is positioned as a more compact and modern alternative to the previous Sagitar L model. This is reported by the Chinese portal Ithome.
The dimensions of the new product are 4702 × 1815 × 1484 mm, and the wheelbase is 2688 mm. It’s 110mm shorter and 43mm smaller in wheelbase than the Sagitar L. The interior gets a two-tone finish, a 12.9-inch central screen, a 10-inch digital instrument panel and 30-tone ambient lighting.
The car is offered with two power plants: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5-liter EVO2 turbo engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Specific power data has not yet been disclosed.
It was previously reported that the Chinese still choose “Europeans” among expensive cars.
