Nissan has changed its strategy: instead of changing generations, the company will leave two Pathfinders on the market at once – a familiar crossover and a new frame SUV under the same name. Automotive News reports this.

The frame Pathfinder will receive not only a supporting frame, but also an original design. Its angular and aggressive appearance will make it stand out from the crossover of the same name. If the “civilian” version is aimed at comfort and family buyers, then the frame version will be aimed at off-road and adventure lovers. According to preliminary data, the new product will be available with both a gasoline engine and a hybrid version.

According to the publication, the release of the frame Pathfinder is scheduled for mid-2029. Around the same time, another update to the current version of the crossover is planned. The company has not yet decided how long both models will be sold under the same name – the final decision will be made later, based on demand.

It was previously reported that Mustang Mach-E buyers will be forced to pay for the front trunk.
