The car manufacturer confirmed the resignation of the cult coupe and thanked all customers for support from the moment of debut in 2007. The last market for the Nissan GT-R was Japan: orders for supercar on the domestic market were accepted until February 28, and now the factory will process the application and release the required number of cars. “Farewell” special versions were presented last year.
Nissan GT-R has long been outdated: the supercars ceased to be supplied to Australia and New Zealand in October 2021, and the UK in March 2022 to Europe and the UK. In both cases, premature resignation became the result of non -compliance with regulatory requirements for ecology, safety or noise. The production of versions for the United States completed last fall, and at the end of the life cycle only special versions of T-SPEC Takumi and Skyline were available.

Since 2007, the Nissan GT-R has survived three restyling in 2010, 2016 and 2023. However, the technique has been unchanged all these years: with a “bit around 3.8 liters”, a 6-speed pre-sequential “robot” and a full-wheel drive system were combined. The power of the supercar increased from 480 to 608 horsepower, and with tuning the Japanese compartment developed more than 1000 horsepower without problems.
The financial condition of Nissan leaves much to be desired, so the future GT-R is vague. According to rumors, Supercar is waiting for electrification and transfer to solid-state batteries, but the vice president of the brand admits that so far there is no necessary technology for the implementation of the plan.
