Rox is going to localize the production of crossovers and electric car in Russia

A car brand is studying the possibility of organizing the production of its cars in our country. The information was confirmed by Sinomach Auto, which officially represents this brand in Russia.

The criterion for the choice of production capacities was the experience of enterprises in the assembly of premium cars, but the specific names of the plants in the company were not named, referring to the commercial interests of the transaction. At the same time, in Russia today there are only two plants with similar experience-the former Mercedes-Benz enterprise in Esipovo and Kaliningrad Avtotor, where BMW cars were previously assembled.

Localization plans provide two stages. The first is the launch of a coarse assembly, in which cars will be assembled from ready -made machines. In the future, the company intends to move on to a deeper localization of production. It is important that these plans concern not only the ROX 01 crossover, which is already represented on the Russian market, but also future models, and at least two of them are expected.

According to the schedule that Sinomach Auto voiced at the beginning of this year when starting the brand, the ROX 01 model is planned in the third quarter of this year. In 2026, the premiere of a more compact crossover with an index 02, created on the same SVDP platform as the model 01. In 2027, a completely new generation of ROX 01 is scheduled for 2027, as well as the flagship model 03. For the latter, a fully electric power plant and options for both five and seven seats are stated.

The ROX 01 crossover can now be purchased for 8 216,000 – 8,376,000 rubles without taking into account discounts and a recently launched Trade -in program. The car is equipped with a one and a half liter gasoline engine operating only as a generator, and two electric motors with a total capacity of 476 horsepower.
