It is no longer possible to select and order these models on the manufacturer’s website—only cars from dealer inventory are available, The Drive reports.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the Tesla Model S and Model X electric cars have officially completed their life cycle. This is not an April Fool’s joke, the head of the company said on his page on the social network.
Thus, Model S sedans and Model X crossovers, which were the first mass-produced models of the brand, are consigned to history. Musk made hints about their imminent disappearance during the conference dedicated to the results of January.
The decision was made as part of Tesla’s strategy to completely transition to the development of robots and, probably, more affordable electric vehicles.
