According to Carscoops, the reason for the decision to stop production of the Acura RDX was a shortage of parts for assembling the cars. At the same time, this crossover accounted for almost a quarter of Acura sales in the United States.
“We have made every effort to produce and sell this model for as long as possible. But some components for assembling cars are no longer available,” said Acura sales manager Mike Lang.
It is noted that according to Acura’s plans, the fourth generation RDX should enter the market in 2028, but dealers of the brand fear that 2 years of absence of cars for sale will reduce demand for the new product to a minimum. Buyers looking for a compact luxury crossover want to buy now, not hear promises about plans for the future.
