Chery has put on the production line the Exeed Sterra ES sedan in the gasoline-electric EREV version with a travel extension. The car will be able to travel up to 1,645 kilometers without recharging and refueling, the manufacturer promises. The long-range new product will hit the home market in the first quarter of 2025, and will reach Russia later under the name Exlantix ES.
In China, the Exeed Sterra ES / Exlantix ES will be equipped with a sequential hybrid unit based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 156 horsepower. It plays the role of an electricity generator, and the wheels are driven by a pair of electric motors of as yet unknown power.
Overall performance is also not disclosed, but the ES will accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.9 seconds. Maximum speed is 180 kilometers per hour.
Exlantix
The four-door is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a working capacity of 41.16 kilowatt-hours. It supports charging from a 110-kilowatt DC device, with which you can replenish the energy reserve from 20 to 80 percent in 17.5 minutes.

In Russia, where the sedan has been awaited for more than a year, an electric version of the ES will also be sold. It has an 800-volt battery with 82 kilowatt-hours and two electric motors with a total output of 480 horsepower. The power reserve of the electric car is up to 520 kilometers.
An all-wheel drive system, air suspension with a system of constant monitoring and adaptation of stiffness, as well as a “winter” package, including heated windshield, exterior mirrors, steering wheel, all seats and batteries, are announced. The release date of the model is not disclosed.
