The approximate price is about 1,400,000 rubles for the “base”, the QUTO portal reports with reference to the director of grocery programs and projects of AvtoVAZ Oleg Grunenkova. The pre -reform SUV, for comparison, can be bought for 1,314,000−1 639,000 rubles.
You can find out the updated Niva Travel by a different front bumper with other niches for fog and a protective plate. The grate has lost the central plastic crossbar, and the nameplate moved below. The new drawing serves not only aesthetic, but also a practical goal: the guides of air flows appeared in the lattice and the passing cross section has increased, so that the motor compartment is better cooled.
The filling of headlights has been changed, which are now available with LED elements. The surcharge for them will be 50,000 rubles. The “top” SUV, in addition to other innovations, is laid for 17-inch wheels with a new design. The price of this option is about 1,800,000 rubles.
AvtoVAZ
Under the hood-a 1.8-liter eight-valve engine with a longitudinal layout, created on the basis of units for front-wheel drive LADA. The classic Niva Legend in 2026 will receive the same.
To fit a new engine in place of the previous 1.7, the engineers had to completely cross the motor compartment. The cylinder block, crankshaft and piston casting are taken from 1.8 EVO, which is installed transversely.
The recoil is 90 horsepower, which is seven more than that of a 1.7 -liter motor. The increase could be more, but the determining factor was the desire to avoid increased excise taxes. The maximum torque grew by 24 nm to 153, and at low speeds – about 1000 per minute – it is more by 27 nm.
Only for the motor was made again or updated 50 parts. The intake, release systems, fuel supply and cooling were improved. The control system controller received a new “sanctioned” unit, a timing belt – a seal, an optimized oil fence system for more stability on off -road is optimized in the crankcase. The clutch was adapted under increased traction.
Due to the use of lightweight materials and plastic, the engine weighs 25 kilograms less. The specific fuel consumption is reduced by 3-30 percent, depending on the conditions. The resource has been increased, but AvtoVAZ has not yet disclosed parts.

The suspension was also updated: shock absorbers and the anti -tank attachment unit are replaced, and the reptile stabilizer was transferred to the front part. New brake discs are installed.
AvtoVAZ worked on the update for Niva Travel for about two years: in 2022, an idea and primary developments appeared, and large-scale development began in 2023. The SUV is now more comfortable, certifies AvtoVAZ, and is better adapted to difficult road conditions. Sales promise to launch in the IV quarter of this year.
