The BAIC X75 crossover will become all-wheel drive in Russia

The Chinese brand BAIC promised updates for the X75 all-terrain vehicle, which went on sale on the Russian car market at the beginning of this year. The flagship of the BAIC model range will receive all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain in 2025. It is not specified whether the hybrid will be all-wheel drive.

BAIC also reports that in the coming year, only two crossovers will remain in the Russian model range – X55 and X75. The X7 all-terrain vehicle will leave Russia, and its departure is logical: it is a pre-restyling version of the X75.

In addition to the X7, the Russians will lose the “junior” crossover X35. They probably decided to get rid of it due to insufficient demand. BAIC will also continue sales of the U5 sedan and BJ40 SUV, assembled in Kaliningrad.

Now the BAIC X75 is offered to Russians with a 1.5-liter engine with 177 horsepower and front-wheel drive. The cost starts from 2,990,000 rubles.

Another new product from BAIC in 2025 should be the BJ60 frame SUV. Already at the start it will be available with an electrified power plant based on a 163-horsepower diesel engine. The wire is full part-time type with reduction gear.
