The Xpeng startup revealed the details about the Chasing Light Panorama system. We are talking about a projection screen, which is developed with Huawei: the revolutionary technology cost almost 1.4 billion dollars. The “chip” is that the Chasing Light Panorama allows you to project graphics on the entire surface of the windshield. In the serial Xpeng G7, innovation will appear this year.
If the technology takes root, then driving in the car will become like a computer game: on the 87-inch projection display, all the information and hints necessary for the driver will be displayed. The computer will give the user the fullness of the information, taking into account the road signs, the specified route and the situation. The ride will turn into an arrow, as in a simulator.

The prompts of virtual reality will allow you to pass complex interchanges and rebuild in advance at the intersections, remind you of the algorithms for the operation of traffic lights and much more. The system is able to warn about pedestrians, cyclists, other machines, and in the rain or fog, the computer “sees” the road much better than a person. The presentation of the Chasing Light Panorama projection system increased the Marpeng market capitalization by 4% (+ 20 billion dollars).
The projection systems of competitors so far use individual windshield sectors, but the successes of Huawei and Xpeng will not go unnoticed. The developers believe that innovation will simplify the driving process, and the systems similar to Chasing Light Panorama will become a “final form of navigation”.
