AvtoVAZ is preparing a promising model for official state certification. But before that, Togliatti specialists carried out regular factory validation tests of the crossover for passive safety, and specifically, bench tests of the car and its components.

According to the test results, the Lada Azimut body showed a 30% safety margin. This became known because in addition to the mandatory tests, additional tests were also carried out – according to more stringent standards, including a static assessment of the strength of the body and the driver’s door.

In addition, the company organized bench tests of seat belt anchorages. When checking the rear row of seat belt fastenings, the total force reached 9 tons within 2 seconds, with a standard of 0.2 seconds. That is, the testers simulated a 10-fold excess of the requirements.
