The most expensive license plate in the history of Uzbekistan left for auction for 1.56 billion soums

A rare number has become the subject of a fierce struggle at an online auction, where in eight days its cost took off from 187.5 million soums to a record 1.56 billion. This is about 9.6 million rubles at the current rate. The buyer was a company from the Tashkent region, which now has to pay for the lot and register it within five business days. In case of refusal of the transaction, a fine will be credited.

At the auction in Uzbekistan, a record was set at a price for a car number. The lot with the initial cost of 187.5 million soums aroused great interest and for eight days went up more than eight times. The final price amounted to 1.56 billion soums, which at the current rate is equivalent to about 9.6 million rubles. This amount exceeded all previous indicators at such auctions.

According to local media, the winner of the auction was a legal entity registered in the Tashkent region. According to the established rules, the buyer has five working days for payment and registration of the purchased number in the road traffic security service. Otherwise, the transaction will be canceled, and the participant will have to pay a fine for refusal. Such cases have already been recorded earlier, when the winners did not complete the purchase.

A year ago, a record transaction with a license plate was also held in Australia. For 1.7 million Australian dollars, which is approximately 150 million rubles, a registration number with the figures “20” was sold. The plate was issued in Victoria, as evidenced by VIC vertical letters.
