A classic American all -terrain vehicle will appear at Mecum auction. The owner will replace the Chevrolet K5 Blazer, which practically did not drive: the owners delivered the car to the storage site and carefully kept artifacts-dealerships, cellophane capes and other reminders about the 1980s. At past auctions, the same SUV was sold for 125 and 150 thousand dollars, respectively.

Happy anniversary, Chevrolet Tahoe!

The Chevrolet K5 Blazer was on the conveyor for 25 years, until it was replaced by Tahoe. In the state of time capsule, a second -generation of the second generation with a short base, a two -door body, a removable plastic top and an unusual option – an electric drive of the rear door were preserved. The equipment is rich: there are cruise control, electric windows, air conditioning, central locking and automatic transmission.

There are no questions: since the Chevrolet K5 Blazer participates in the fourth auction in four years, the car looks new and the dust has long been eliminated. The chassis, an engineering space and wheels shine, as if an all -terrain vehicle only came off the conveyor. But on some fasteners and discs, surface rust was formed.

With an atmospheric 5.7-liter V8 (210 hp, 407 nm), a 4-speed automatic and a full-wheel drive system with a lowering gear are combined. Since we are talking about 1989 years of issue, there is already a fuel injection system. The posterior sofa is purely symbolic, but the atmosphere of the late 1980s is preserved impeccably. However, the high price of Mecum auction is by no means guaranteed.

The fact is that the SUV is sold without a reserve, so that the results of past auctions do not matter. The Chevrolet K5 Blazer managed to visit the auction three times: twice in 2023 and once in 2024. During this time, the mileage grew from 18 to 23 miles (from 29 to 37 kilometers). Past buyers paid for an authentic all -terrain vehicle from 125 to 150 thousand dollars.
