The new generation of the MG4 model, which is sold in Russia, is declassified

The British-Chinese brand of MG, which is part of the SAIC concern and, including in the Russian market, announced the speedy debut of the “second” MG4. MG4 is an electric hatchback that is successful in Europe, but is rapidly losing customers in China: the model is expensive relative to competitors and simply outdated by the standards of the PRC. So on the way a new generation, which is expected, will be cheaper.

In official photographs of the MG, the second -generation electric power is captured only from the outside. It is larger than its predecessor, and the design has become more relevant – it is simultaneously similar to the compact models of Geely, Smart and its other Chinese “classmates”. At the same time, the MG4 now looks less aggressive due to softened faces, and filling the rear lights inspires Mini associations.

So far, only a single -engine modification has been confirmed for the novelty: the electric motor installed on the rear axle develops 163 horsepower instead of the previous 170 forces. At the same time, the MG4 of the first generation had a two -engine version with a capacity of 435 horsepower, and it is it that is sold in Russia for 5,550,000 rubles.

From the documents published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry, it follows that the new MG4 will be offered with wheeled disks with a diameter of 16 or 17 inches, and the maximum speed of the electric car will be 160 kilometers per hour. Dimensions are also given: 4395 millimeters in length, 1842 millimeters wide and 1551 millimeters in height, the wheelbase is 2750 millimeters. For comparison: the dimensions of the first generation model – 4287, 1836, 1516 and 2705 millimeters, respectively.
