Photo spies captured a prototype of a sedan in the back of the W214 during tests with an insert between the doors. Judging by the proportions, the limousine has at least a meter-long insert, and experts are preparing an additional row of seats with a pair of doors! According to preliminary data, the unusual Mercedes-Benz is the creation of the Binz body shop. Previously, two hundred and twelfth E-Classes were turned into similar limousines.
40 years of Mercedes-Benz E-Class W124
The six-door Mercedes-Benz E-Class debuted in 2010: then Binz added a 1.13-meter-long insert, and the total length reached almost six meters. The buyer could order an armored version of the limousine, choose the interior configuration and filling of the original sedan. Usually the insert was made of versions of the E 350 with a six-cylinder 3.5-liter engine.

For the prototype, they used a simpler version of the Mercedes-Benz E 200, that is, Binz tested the capabilities of the basic 2.0 petrol turbo-four. Currently, in addition to limousines, the workshop produces hearses, special vehicles for doctors, police, firefighters and rescuers, as well as station wagons for transporting bedridden patients. The former MAN Truck & Bus plant is used for assembly.
The newest E-Class from Mercedes-AMG was brought to Russia: the price surprised
Mercedes-Benz factory limousines have not been produced since the days of the 222 Pullman, but a whole range of models have long-wheelbase versions, especially in China. The current Mercedes-Benz E-Class W214 in the Middle Kingdom is also being stretched, although not so extreme: the insert between the axles is 13 cm, and the entire increase goes to the rear door.
