The new Russian bus Simaz with imported filling is ready for the series

The TASS agency found out: the new bus will stand on the conveyor in September, and by the end of the year they plan to assemble at least 100 cars in Ulyanovsk. The name of the news of the Simaz has not yet been disclosed, but the nameless bus has been shown at exhibitions, and all the characteristics became known to the Motor. The length/width/height of the new Simaz bus is 9483/2550/3400 millimeters, respectively, the total weight is 14,180 kilograms. The Chinese 5.0-liter Weichai engine (200 hp, 670 nm) is installed behind, the thrust is transferred to the Dongfeng bridge through a 6-speed machine of an unknown manufacturer. On the early prototypes there was an American transmission Allison, the series will probably go to the FastGear Chinese unit.

The bus on liquefied natural gas is designed for 67 passengers (24 seats + one wheelchair), the option on compatible natural gas is more spacious: 72 passengers (29 seats + one wheelchair). Both doors are low -floor, there is an air suspension on both axles. The margin is from 440 to 580 kilometers, depending on the type of nutrition. While Simaz continues the bus tests, and there are no contracts with municipalities yet.

The new Simaz novelty will have to compete in the middle class with the KamAZ-4290 bus. Simaz also has a joint project with KAMAZ: the parties are producing more compact VeGA buses, technically close to compass trucks.
