BASF chemical experts analyzed the trends of 2024 and called the shades that were most in demand around the world. White, black and gray remain in the “top”, but the rating of chromatic troops has undergone unexpected changes. For example, yellow has become almost twice as much: the share of such machines increased to 1.5 percent.

The absolute leader is white. On average in the world, its share in 2024 amounted to 34%. In second place is black with 22%, in the third and fourth – gray and silver, which scored 17% and 8%, respectively.

Among the chromatic colors, the primacy holds blue/blue with a seven percent share. At the same time, the popularity of white, blue and silver decreased, and black, gray and yellow grew.

4% of cars were painted in red, in green – 2%. Beige, brown, orange and purple scored 1%, and the share of golden cars was only 0.5%.
