In 2025, 125 thousand used motorcycles were sold – 10% more than the previous year. The secondary market for motorcycles exceeds the 100 thousand unit mark for the third year in a row. This was reported by the analytical agency Autostat.
“Over half (56%) of all used motorcycles purchased were from four Japanese and one German brands, namely: Honda (23.4 thousand units), Yamaha (17.2 thousand units), Suzuki (10.2 thousand units), Kawasaki (9.8 thousand units) and BMW (9.3 thousand units),” the publication says.
The leader of the model rating was the Honda CBR – 4.8 thousand units sold. In second place is the Honda CB (4.1 thousand), and the Jawa 350 closes the top three with a result of 3.5 thousand units. Almost every second used motorcycle purchased in 2025 was Japanese – 48.5% of the market. This is followed by Chinese models with a share of 12.4% and Russian equipment – 8.5%.
Earlier, sales of Chinese used cars increased in the Far East.
