The deputy of the Committee on Labor and Social Protection, Yaroslav Nilov, believes that in the country it is necessary to strengthen control over car rental services, since this industry is practically not regulated in any way, and legal regulation is distributed according to several documents. The official has already sent an appeal addressed to the head of the Ministry of Transport of Russia with a proposal to introduce several restrictive measures.
According to the traffic police statistics, from January to September last year 361 accident occurred in Russia, whose culprits were drivers of rental vehicles. In these incidents 470 people were injured, another 24 participants in the accident were killed. Deputies believe that in the country it is necessary to create a separate law that would regulate the industry. Moreover, the norms should be applied to both users of the service and operators.
Russian car sharing is ready to switch to domestic cars in Moscow car sharing park to record sizes, experts calculated which is more profitable: a personal car or car sharing
Nilov believes that in Russia it is necessary to prohibit the use of car sharing for people under 21 years of age. Rental cars must be equipped with alcohols. In addition, the official suggests introducing uniform parking rules for short -term rental cars and more decisively fighting fake accounts.
The deputy believes that car sharing drivers do not care about rental cars, since they do not belong to them. Also unscrupulous users of services throw cars somewhere, including on lawns and tram tracks. In turn, personal transport owners often cannot find a parking place, since the entire street-road network is packed with rental machines.
In early March, the Yandex Drive service announced that it would allow 18-year-old drivers without experience. The company made this decision after other operators.
