The Subaru Crosstrek is Consumer Reports’ Best Subcompact SUV for 2026. Experts praise it for its comfortable off-road performance, high ground clearance, excellent handling and almost complete absence of roll.
Next come the Subaru Forester, Toyota Grand Highlander, Lexus NX, BMW X5, Ford Maverick, Ford F-150 and Tesla Model Y.
