In Japan, the waiting period is even more – from two to five months, and in India they will wait for supplies up to nine months.
Toyota herself is aware of the problem. The company claims that the pace of production of hybrid cars corresponds to the previously approved plan, however, the demand for hybrids “has grown significantly over the past year in all regions.” She promises to do everything possible to increase production according to new market realities.
