Toyota began to seriously delay car supply

The Japanese auto giant did not lose with a stab on gasoline-electrical cars: over the past five years, sales of such cars have grown almost three times, to 16.1 million pieces per year. The demand is so high that Toyota does not cope with deliveries, and many customers in key markets have to wait for their cars for several months.

Europeans have to wait for hybrid Toyota on average for 60-70 days, writes Reuters. This is twice as much as in 2022. The most acute deficiency of Yaris Cross and connected RAV4 are felt. In Japan, the waiting period is even more – from two to five months, and in India they will wait for supplies up to nine months.

Toyota herself is aware of the problem. The company claims that the pace of production of hybrid cars corresponds to the previously approved plan, however, the demand for hybrids “has grown significantly over the past year in all regions.” She promises to do everything possible to increase production according to new market realities.

It is especially important for the company to maintain an even pace of supply in China, where only hybrids were in a plus last year. Toyota’s total sales in the largest car market in the world fell by seven percent, while the demand for benzoelectric machines jumped by 27 percent.

According to insiders, Toyota “dreams” to return to the Russian market, which was very profitable for her. The company is already studying the issue of resuming official deliveries of cars, but is waiting for the abolition of sanctions.
