The fourth stage of the Russian Drift Grand Prix (RDS GP), which took place on the ADM Raceway highway, will go down in history as the “stage of the name of Damir Idamiyatulin”, and there were reasons for that. An experienced Krasnoyarsk, speaking at Toyota Supra A80, brought the Fresh Racing team all the “three stakes”: winning qualifications, paired races and team championship.
Damir showed serious intentions at the stage during single races – in the second qualifying attempt, he received from judges 98 points out of 100, which became the best result among 40 athletes and 12 victory in the qualification in the career of Idiyatulin in RDS GP. At the TOP-32 stage, the rival of the Krasnoyarsk became Ilya Drift Team, who literally “ate” the bumper blue-white Supra A80 Idiyatulin. Further along the net of paired races, Damir first passed Ivan Palmin, then Danila Racing Drift Team, and in the semifinals masterfully worked on the race with Leonid Schneider. About the large angle of Schneider’s drift in the third sector of the evaluated site, several pilots “stumbled” at once, and only Idiyatulin spent a hit with him without contacts.
Two representatives of the Fresh Racing team were to meet in the final: Damir Idiyatulin and Evgeny Losev, however, this race was not destined to take place. The Toyota Supra A80 engine Loseva flared up in the semifinal OMT (reload) with George Chivchyan (Takayama Forward Auto), and the team announced a technical gathering.

“When we drove the first arrival with Gocha, my motor was stalled at warming up at low speeds. Usually, when the gaps of the valves leave, I pay attention. Under the finish, the craving began to disappear. Before the second OMT, candles, coils and so on were changed-it was enough to get, but the motor was already dying, the last finish was barely reaching. There was no point in leaving the Sokomandrdnik, because we have only a week and departure to Krasnoyarsk, there will be no time to finalize. Therefore, it was decided not to go. But I would not have reached, ”Evgeny Losev admitted.
This time, the finalists’ parade was especially touching: Damir on the cable handed the car of his macemaker-rostrus along the stands under loud applause. Idiyatulin took the first place in the personal standings through the single passage of BYE RUN. However, the triumph was not over – the first place in the team standings was also won by Fresh Racing.
“The stage was very interesting. Such a historical, turning point, especially at the equator of the season. The turning point, because the beginning of the season was, one might say, very unsuccessful, and this was the last chance to catch on the struggle for the championship. It turned out to be done. And I want to say for myself that you can’t relax. The next three stages should be tried, ”shared the winner of the stage Damir Idiyatulin.
Evgeny Losev’s path to the final was also difficult. In the top 32, Siberian overcame Vladislav Erofeev (“Lecar, obsessed with Motorsport), then Andrei Astapov (Lukoil Racing Drift Team) was held in the contact duel, and in the quarterfinals pulled out the victory from Lecar Motorsport leader Arkady Tsaregradtsev. And all in order to give the audience in the stands and at the broadcast screens RDS TV beautiful driveways with George Chivchyan. The legendary athletes rode so close and synchronously that the judges appointed an OMT, as a result of which Losev went to the final, and Gocha to fight for third place.

But Georgy Chivchyan did not get to the prize catwalk – his opponent, the leader of the Timeup team, Leonid Schneider, won the bronze. If Damir Idiyatulin in the TOP-4 was able to clearly work out the features of Schneider’s passage by the leader in the third sector, then Chivchyan did not calculate and jumped on the Toyota Mark II Leonid. The TimeUp team could not repair the damaged car for five minutes allotted by the regulations, and since Goch was found the collision, Schneider took place on the catwalk.

The results of the fourth stage of the Russian Grand Prix of the Russian series on ADM Raceway were added to the intrigue championship. Timeup maintains leadership in the team standings, but the “three stakes” Fresh Racing brought the blue-white points to the piggy bank to significantly reduce the gear between the groups. As for the personal standings, Anton Kozlov (Carville Racing) is still holding leadership, ahead of Artyom Shabanov (Timeup) by 15 points, and Damir Idiyatulin shifted from the third line of Arkady Tsaregradsev, who is now breathing in the back Evgeny Losev.

The spectacular and in its own way the dramatic stage ended with the triumph of Fresh Racing, which the RDS GP participants will try already in the homeland of Russian drift stars-the fifth stage of the Russian drift of the series will be accepted by the legendary Red Ring in Krasnoyarsk on August 9-10. Given the fact that neither Anton Kozlov nor Artyom Shabanov of high results on this track has yet been demonstrated, and for the Siberians the stage will be home, you can expect both the change of championship leaders and even greater density in points – the closer to the finale, the higher the intrigue.
