The finished restomod from British tuners Audacious Automotive will not be cheap – potential buyers will have to shell out at least $466 thousand (38 million rubles at the exchange rate at the time of publication), and this amount does not include the cost of donor Audi Quattro and RS4 cars, which will also be required for construction, reports Carscoops.
Instead of the standard 2.1-liter five-cylinder turbo engine, a 4.2-liter V8 from the RS4 will be installed under the hood, which produces 414 hp in stock. However, the creators decided to go further and equip the engine with a supercharger to increase output to at least 600 hp. The engine will be paired with a manual transmission.
In addition to replacing the engine, the British will completely redesign the body, inspired by the appearance of the S1 Quattro, the legendary rally car of the Group B era. The car will receive a new front bumper with large air intakes, a black radiator grille, extended wheel arches on all four wheels, a massive wing, an original diffuser and two exhaust pipes.
All these elements, according to the head of the company, Mac Zaglewski, will perform not only a decorative, but also a practical function, working for cooling and aerodynamics.
Thanks to the new body, the car will be at least 250 kilograms lighter than the RS4 B7.
Earlier, Russo-Balt spoke about the transmission of the new crossover.
