The engine showed a confident start at a temperature of -30°C, reports the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. The engineers carried out a full calibration of the work, additionally noting that the turbocharger, catalyst and particulate filter passed the cold test with a solid “A”.
The main task of the engineers at this stage of testing is to ensure stable and correct operation of all systems of the diesel power unit in extreme cold.
The debut of new products – diesel UAZ “Patriot”, “Pickup” and commercial van “Profi” – is expected according to schedule. Market entry is planned for the end of the second and beginning of the third quarter of 2026.
The two-liter engine produces 136 hp. maximum power and 320 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission manufactured by Sollers PT LLC.
