Shortly before the KIA EV Day event, which will be held in Spain on February 27, the Korean company shared the official images of PV5 ready for serial production. The main feature of the model was a replaceable body – that is, it is a cabin and a chassis on which you can install different body modules attached using mechanical latches and electromagnets. So far, a passenger version and cargo are presented.

The new PV5 will be the first KIA model debuting in the framework of the new global Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV). For the first time, the electrofurgon debuted at the consumer electronics exhibition a year ago – then in the status of the concept. Kia confirmed for him a passenger and cargo versions, as well as a modular salon, designed for a different number of passengers, including low -mobility.

I got to the PV5 series with minimal changes in the design of the exterior, which is evidenced by the official photographs that KIA shared on the eve of its debut. The electric car has zigzag -shaped LED DHCs, a black panel in the entire width of the hood, in the center of which the exchange logo of the brand, under which there are a rectangular hatch, under which there are slots for connecting the machine to the charging station, and finally below the massive element framing the lattice with narrow slots.

Both the passenger minivan and the Cargo van had a large area of ​​front glazing, and the passenger version of the window is toned. The door handles are ordinary, the side doors are in both cases sliding. Behind are narrow C-shaped lights, and the van has swing rear wings. There are no pictures of the salon yet.

There is no information about the power plant so far. According to unofficial data, PV5 will have two modifications, with one and two electric motors. As for the platform, the model Electric Complete Chassis Platform Module (E-CCPM) will be based on the model.

The production of commercial electric transport on the PBV platform will be launched at the new Hyundai-Kia plant in South Korea. The design capacity of the enterprise is 150 thousand cars per year, it should earn it during this year.
