The rating is based on a survey of several thousand British car owners, reports WhatCar.
The first place on the list was taken by the Volkswagen Tiguan. The reliability level of the model produced from 2024 was only 64.2%.
According to the results of the study, 81% of Tiguan owners encountered various breakdowns. Most often (in 31% of cases) problems arose with the multimedia system. Also among the weak points of the crossover were the braking system and on-board electronics not related to the engine.
Second place in the anti-rating with a reliability indicator of 72.9% was taken by Kia Sportage (2016-2021 model year). Complaints about breakdowns came from 56% of owners of diesel versions and 20% of owners of gasoline versions. The main problems concerned the engine, transmission, brakes and electronics.
The Mazda CX-60, produced since 2022, closes the top three. Its reliability was rated at 76.2%, and about half of those surveyed reported malfunctions. The most common problems were damage to the suspension, steering and body parts. In all cases, repairs were also paid for by the manufacturer.
This is followed by Volkswagen ID 4 (2021 – present), Renault Austral (2023 – present), Nissan Ariya (2021 – present), MG ZS Electric (2019-2025), Land Rover Discovery Sport (2014 – present), Renault Arkana (2021-2025) and Audi Q5 (petrol/PHEV, 2018 – present).
