This car has a dynamic engine, a roomy interior and a reasonable price, but it also has a number of shortcomings – including poor handling, lack of all-wheel drive and noticeable cost-saving measures applied when designing the crossover.
“You expect appropriate handling from a car with a peppy engine, but there’s nothing special to brag about here. The main problem is the uninformative and light steering wheel in all modes. When the drive wheels start to drift on a slippery road, you don’t feel any corresponding unloading on the steering wheel,” notes the publication “Behind the Wheel.”
Savings on equipment are evidenced by the fact that the car in the maximum configuration does not have curtain airbags, wireless charging for smartphones, illuminated makeup mirrors and fog lights. Also, the car has only three parking sensors on the rear bumper. An all-wheel drive transmission for the Changan CS35 Max is not offered even at an additional cost.
Among the positive aspects of the car, the magazine “Behind the Wheel” notes the excellent smoothness of the ride, acceleration dynamics and a spacious interior, especially for rear-row passengers.
