Mercedes-Benz is recalling 24 thousand units of the E-Klasse and S-Klasse families on the US market. Operating experience has shown that there is a risk of serious damage when the driveshaft in the front wheel drive becomes disconnected.
The recall affects Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse and S-Klasse vehicles manufactured from October 1, 2017 to December 18, 2019. For now, the campaign only applies to the North American market.
At the same time, the German automaker notes: at the end of 2019, the drive manufacturer revised the production process, ceasing to supply low-quality parts.
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2026, 2,773 new Mercedes-Benz passenger cars were registered in Russia – 82% more than in the same period last year (1,305 units).
The most popular Mercedes among Russians remains the G-class crossover – the expensive, brutal Geländewagen. In three months, 404 units were recorded. In second place is the GLS crossover (348 units).
