Auto expert Gudkov listed which gasoline can replace AI-95

Deputy editor-in-chief of “Behind the Wheel” Nikita Gudkov answered what to do when the required brand of gasoline is not available at the gas station – in particular, AI-95.

If the budget allows and this option is available, it is better to refuel the AI-100, Gudkov said. According to the expert, high-octane gasoline cannot harm an engine for which AI-95 and higher is prescribed.

In case of urgent need, the use of AI-92 is also permissible, since most cars today are equipped with sensors, thanks to which the engine control unit avoids detonation.

“One trip will not harm the engine if you do not put extremely high loads, especially at low speeds. The main thing is not to use the “ninety-second” on an ongoing basis,” summed up the “Behind the Wheel” expert.
