The five-seat crossover Evolute i‑Space has not only changed in appearance – it even comes with all-wheel drive. There was no such version in China – it was created at the request of the Motorinvest company, noted the Za Rulem columnist.

The first minus is that all-wheel drive “ate up” the space, so the i‑Space turned from a seven-seater into a strictly five-seater, noted Ilya Khlebushkin.

Another drawback: the range is melting before our eyes – the battery remained the same (25.1 kWh), but the second engine and the extra weight did their job, the electric range collapsed from 165 to 124 km, the total range dropped from 1250 to 1000 km, and the gas tank was cut from 60 to 50 liters.

Minus three: sound insulation. On the highway you can hear everything – the roar of a 90 hp naturally aspirated gasoline engine that turns the generator, and the hum from the wheels.

In addition, the tax is for 159 hp, not 367 – the total power is 367 hp, but the tax rate is tied to the 30-minute maximum power (a ridiculous 159 hp).

When the charge is below 20%, traction drops, at 15% the rear motor is completely switched off – all-wheel drive disappears.

Minus six: control via the screen – heated washer nozzles, steering wheel, seat ventilation are turned on only through the 15.6-inch display, there are no buttons, there is no active cruise either, and there is no heated windshield.

Minus seven: the discounted price is 2.86 million rubles, this is the most affordable all-wheel drive hybrid in the Russian Federation, but without government subsidies, dealers are asking for 3.79 million, and with this money you can buy a used Japanese crossover without childhood illnesses, the expert said.
