A 26-year-old UAZ in time capsule condition is up for sale in Samara

The SUV with a mileage of 8.8 thousand km looks like new – in factory khaki paint and with the original tent top. The owner valued a perfectly preserved UAZ-31 512 at 1.1 million rubles – much cheaper than the new Hunter, which is offered in Russia for 1.7 million rubles.

An advertisement for the sale of a UAZ appeared on an online platform specializing in historical vehicles and in one of the popular classification sites.

“I will sell UAZ-31512. New car condition. Mileage 8,840 km, original. Bought new from a dealer in Ulyanovsk. Time capsule,” said the author of the ad.

In the photos in the ad, the khaki-colored car looks new: it still has paint on the muffler, a protective galvanic coating on the bolts and nuts, and the seats and interior floor show no signs of wear.

Under the hood of the UAZ is a 2.4 petrol engine with a power of 76 hp, a four-speed manual transmission, and an all-wheel drive. The seller clarified that the vehicle is equipped with so-called “military” axles with final drives. The owner valued the car at 1.1 million rubles. The recommended retail price for the new UAZ Hunter in Russia is 1.67 million rubles. The SUV was released in 2000 and has the external distinctive features of cars of that time.
