The premium car brand Hongqi has revealed the name of its most ambitious project – the first frame SUV in the history of the brand, which will challenge the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser. The new product will be called Hongqi G919.
“Embodying the philosophy of “restrained strength,” the G919 received a monumental “cubic” silhouette with rectangular headlight units that refer to the classical canons, but are designed using modern lighting technology,” the brand’s press service clarifies.
As standard, the car will have a reinforced front bumper, power sills, towing eyes, an expeditionary trunk, external LED spotlights, as well as mounts for a spare tire or an additional case.
Before this, the Hongqi brand talked about new products for the Russian market. By the end of this year, the Chinese premium brand Hongqi will introduce an updated version of the H5 business sedan to the Russian market.
The car will receive a modernized interior and exterior, while the technological platform will remain unchanged. The model is currently undergoing certification, the company’s press service reported.
