A GAZ “Ataman” pickup truck worth 10 million rubles went on sale

GAZ-2308 “Ataman” is an all-terrain passenger car produced by the Gorky Automobile Plant from 1995 to 2001. Due to the fact that the car was assembled by hand and the project remained at the experimental development stage, very few (according to some historical data, only about a few hundred units) copies were produced.

A 2021 pickup truck with a mileage of 32 thousand km is up for sale in Tyumen. The owner of the car plans to earn 10 million rubles, Motor magazine found out. The car is equipped with a ZMZ gasoline engine with a power of 98 hp.

“In excellent, collectible condition with unique identification number. The car has always been stored in a dry, warm room. Additional information, photos and videos upon request,” explains the owner of “Ataman”.

In the mid-1990s, the truck was created as an update to the model range of the Gorky Automobile Plant. However, engineers only managed to assemble a pilot batch of several dozen light commercial vehicles.

“Ataman”, equipped with a permanent all-wheel drive system with interaxle locking and a transfer case, is built on a frame with continuous axles. The cabin was taken from a GAZ-3307 truck.

In November 2024, three Ataman pickup trucks were sold at once in Nizhny Novgorod. Trucks could be purchased in one lot. Another car was exhibited in February 2025 in Tyumen at a price of 3.4 million rubles.
